Kat Hayes exhibition

From 15th July until 16th August.

‘Not As It Was’ exhibition from Kat Hayes, an East London-based artist, explores profound loss through abstract paintings of the destructive natural forces that shape our physical world. The works consider moments of rupture, the possibility of eventual renewal, however distant, and the emotional landscapes forever changed.

Kat Hayes is an East London-based artist who has exhibited in both group and solo shows across London and the UK.

Her portfolio draws on the power and rhythm of natural destructive processes — eruptions, storms, shifting tides, and landscapes to represent the turbulence of human emotion and experience.

Kat studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, and Fine Art at the University of Northampton graduating in 2002. She previously founded an independent art collective LOOSEGroup Artists, and has also designed stage sets for theatres on the London Fringe, and has been a production designer for a number of short films by independent film makers.
